The 5 course enrollment statuses in Artusi

Modified on Thu, Sep 19 at 5:58 PM

You can manage your course enrollments from the Enrollments page. A link to this page is located in the left-hand navigation of your course. At the bottom of the Enrollments page you will find all individuals associated with your course. A person can have one of five statuses:

  • Student - can access the course and complete assignments for a grade. Students can see published course materials but have no access to instructor tools.
  • Instructor - full access to the gradebook and instructor tools for creating, editing, and deleting assignments and exercises. Instructors can also complete assignments like a student can, but their progress does not appear in the gradebook.
  • Requested - a person who used an enrollment code to attempt to join your course, but is not yet a course member. To grant this person access you must manually change their status to "student."
  • Denied - someone who was formerly enrolled in your course but has been removed. This is equivalent to an "unenrolled" student. Someone who has a "denied" status no longer has access to your course and there is no record of their past work in your gradebook. You can re-enroll a student at any time by changing their status back to "student."
  • Listener - listeners can access your course as a student, but their work does not appear in the gradebook. You can grant this status to students who are auditing your course.

As an instructor, you can visit the Enrollments page to manually change the enrollment status of any person in your course using the dropdown next to their name.
