Once you have registered Artusi as an external tool in your Canvas course, follow these steps to set up an Artusi assignment.
1. Create an assignment on the Artusi website (https://www.artusimusic.com/)
Before configuring the assignment on Canvas, you first need to create the assignment on Artusi. Please watch this video for instructions on how to create assignments in Artusi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq1U4BwdYOU.
2. Add an assignment to your Canvas course
Follow the steps on this page to add an assignment to your Canvas course: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-add-an-assignment-using-an-external-app/ta-p/656. In the section titled "Configure External Tool," select Artusi from the dropdown. If Artusi is not visible, you will need to register Artusi as an external tool.
Important note: please be sure to select "Load This Tool In A New Tab." Websites and browsers are gradually phasing out support for 3rd-party cookies, which are required in order to embed Artusi within Canvas. Opening Artusi as a separate browser tab sidesteps this problem.
3. Link the Artusi assignment to Canvas
You have created an assignment on Artusi and a corresponding assignment in your Canvas course. Now you need to link the two. From the Canvas assignment, click the launch link, which will open a page on the Artusi website. From this page, select the assignment that you created in step 1 above. A message should now appear confirming that you have successfully configured your Artusi assignment for Canvas. You can now return to your Canvas course page. When students click the launch link from their assignment, they will now be redirected to the assignment on the Artusi website.
