Canvas lets you add "external tools" as a way to augment the functionality of your course. One of the most popular external tools is Panopto, which lets students submit homework as video recordings.
To add Artusi to your course as an external tool you will likely need to contact your institution's Canvas administrator, who will need to approve the integration. We recommend that you contact us at support@artusimusic.com so we can walk you through the setup process with your administrator.
Once your administrator has approved the integration we will provide you with the following authentication credentials over email:
- A "consumer key": this is a code that is uniquely associated with your institution. You can think of this as a username that Artusi uses to identify your institution.
- A "shared secret": you can think of this as a password that Artusi uses to authenticate your institution.
- A "config URL": this is the address that Artusi assignments created through your Canvas account will launch into.
With your consumer key, shared secret, and config URL, your can register Artusi by following the steps outlined here: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-configure-an-external-app-for-a-course-using-a-URL/ta-p/884.
