When an Artusi assignment has been configured through Canvas, student grades can automatically appear in the Canvas gradebook, a feature that is often referred to as "grade passback."
N.B.: for grade passback to work, students need to open their Artusi assignment from Canvas, not from the Artusi website.
Grade passback may be enabled or disabled depending on the way that you configure your Artusi assignment.
When feedback is turned on, the Canvas gradebook will update continuously as students work. Artusi worksheets, practice exercises, and textbook chapters have feedback turned on by default, while quizzes do not.
When feedback is turned off, the Canvas gradebook only updates after the Artusi assignment has closed. An assignment closes after its time limit has expired, or after its due date has passed. At this point the assignment enters a read-only state where the student can view their work, but can no longer submit.
To disable grade passback for an assignment, turn off feedback and do not configure a due date or time limit. These settings together effectively withhold grades and feedback indefinitely.
